Samuel Alexander Capolongo was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1994. He was adopted at three months old and grew up in Montgomery Township, NJ.

He attended the University of Delaware and graduated with a Chemistry degree.

All That We Live For was Capolongo’s first attempt at a full blown recording project. The 13-track, self-produced album showcased his ability to write and perform a diverse sound, ranging from the warmth of soft acoustic to the punch of pop-punk rock.

In his later college years, Capolongo began pursuing an acoustic performing career, playing cover gigs around the Delaware area. It was in the summer before his final school year that he incorporated a live looper system into his solo performances; adding percussion hits, vocal harmonies, and fuller sounds to his act. This, along with his stage presence and overall professionalism quickly separated him from other Delaware acoustic acts.

Since graduating college in 2017, Sam has played over a thousand shows at venues such as bars, restaurants, weddings, festivals, and concert halls across the East Coast. Based in the Delmarva area, he has performed in duos with Zodiac Jack, Marielle Kraft and Jenni Schick. In 2018 he joined the backing band of singer/songwriter Marielle Kraft as her lead guitarist.

Currently, Sam is fronting Philly-based rock band Chasing Straights as the vocalist, rhythm guitar player and songwriter. Their first release, Hardly off the Ground was released in May of 2021.
